Avéli before and after pictures reveal the amazing effectiveness of this new cellulite treatment. Unlike many other treatments, Avéli actually gets to the root of the problem of cellulite — the tight fibrous bands beneath the skin.
Still, it’s a new type of treatment, and patients often have questions about how it works and how it will affect them. Below, we’ve listed the most frequent questions we receive with Avéli before and after surgery. We hope these can help you navigate your own procedure better so that you can achieve the outstanding results possible with Avéli.
Avéli Cellulite Treatment Before and After FAQs
What is Avéli?
Avéli cellulite treatment, by Revelle Aesthetics, is a minimally invasive procedure that releases the fibrous bands (called septa bands) beneath the skin. Septa bands cause a tight tugging on the skin above them, and this causes the visible dimples of cellulite.
Avéli treatment requires your plastic surgeon to make small incisions and insert the Avéli device where the septa bands are located. These are then sliced so that they release the tension with the skin.
You should see instant results. Furthermore, most Avéli treatments can be performed with IV sedation and local anesthesia only.
Who is a good Avéli candidate?
The best candidates for this procedure are at a healthy stable body weight and are in good general physical health. You should have good skin laxity. It’s important that you be a non-smoker as well because smoking can cause problems and complications during and after any type of plastic surgery procedure.
Nearly every individual who struggles with cellulite has it on their thighs and buttocks, so these are the target locations for treatment.
Where can Avéli be used on the body?
You will mostly see Avéli before and after thighs images. Sometimes, patients have Avéli performed on the buttocks as well. Either way, these are the areas of the body that Avéli was created for, and these are the areas where this treatment is primarily used.
How long is Avéli recovery?
Most patients will have a very short downtime after this procedure. You may have some swelling and bruising around the treatment area (your compression garment can help with this), but these side effects should go away fairly quickly.
After around one to two weeks, you shouldn’t have significant swelling, and you should be able to see notable results. Keep in mind, however, that some residual swelling may last a few more weeks. Therefore, you probably won’t be able to see more complete results until after about one month has passed.
When will I see my Avéli results?
Most patients will be able to see their complete results after surgery in about one month. At this time, most of the bruising and swelling should be gone.
Technically, Avéli is an immediate treatment, which means that once your plastic surgeon releases the fibrous bands that had been causing your cellulite dimples, the results will be immediate. You should be able to see them in about an hour.
However, the reason you can’t see these results as well right away after surgery is that you’re going to have quite a bit of swelling and bruising, and these symptoms will disguise your results. Fortunately, as the symptoms disappear in the weeks following, you will be able to see the full outcome of your treatment procedure.
Most Avéli cellulite before and after photos are taken around one to two months or more following surgery. You can learn more about potential results in Marie Claire and New York Magazine.
Does Avéli require multiple treatment sessions?
No, most of the time, patients are able to see their full results after just one treatment session. If you do notice that you develop more cellulite over time, you can, of course, call back to book a second appointment. But again, most patients are happy with their results after their initial treatment session.
How much does Avéli cost?
Avéli is a minimally invasive treatment, so the cost will typically be less than that of a procedure like tummy tuck surgery or a breast lift. However, the procedure requires learned techniques and advanced technology. Your surgeon needs to be trained in using this procedure, and it takes a unique skill to target the right fibrous bands for release and a great outcome.
Typically, each session costs $3000-$4000. But remember that your Avéli cellulite treatment cost may be different from someone else’s. If you need more treatment areas covered or your case of cellulite is particularly challenging to correct, this could raise the cost.
Will insurance pay for cellulite treatment?
No. Unfortunately, cellulite treatment is not covered by health insurance companies because cellulite is not seen as a life-threatening or medically problematic issue. Rather, it is seen by most health insurance companies as a cosmetic issue.
If you are concerned about how you will pay for cellulite treatment with Avéli, please talk to us about this at your consultation appointment. We would be more than happy to provide you with information about the financing options we offer qualifying patients through our practice.
